Would not fit through the apparatus doors at Engine 103, so it was reassigned after 1 day there; Aurora Borealis replaced by two beacons (close together) by 1980; first rehab may have been from 9/2/1980-2/1981, with reassignment to Engine 8 on 2/12/1981, but dates don't match; rebuilt by Able Fire Equipment in 1990 w/ Ranger 4-door cab, E-One body, 140-gal foam tank and equipped with 5” LDH (4” standard at time); was numbered for Engine 35 in September 1991 but never assigned; removed from service due to failure of bell housing (rear end); Code 3 Collectibles model replica (as movie Engine 17)
