Apparatus Notes

Received 55' Snorkel in 1978, possibly installed by Snorkel Fire Equipment Co., with multiversal relocated to high pressure pump; Halon system added in 1981 by outside vendor, requiring removal of multiversal; third stint at Engine 12 may have started in 8/1981; designation changed from Engine 12 to Snorkel 6 to Snorkel 7, then to Squad 7 but remained numbered E12 for years after change; Engine 12 OOS 3/1/1982, but one source shows this rig leaving on 2/16/1982; repainted lime yellow with white stripe by a local vendor in 1987; though reassigned to Squad 7 after repaint, it was marked as Engine 12R; still on roster in 1999
