D-383 through D-387 were said to have been acquired at lower cost, due to water damage while in storage in the northeast (requiring rewiring and electrical work beforehand); lettered as “High Volume Pumper” after receiving Quick Water modifications in 1983; Aurora Borealis replaced by single Mars beacon by 1/26/1986; Engine 129 may have used this as a spare; still on roster in 1999
