Snorkel Squad 1 dates may have been 1/15/1976 - 10/3/1980; first rig with roof mounted, rotating green light?; SS1 OOS 10/3/1980 or 10/6/1980; some minor refurb done at the shops before assignment to Snorkel 4; Snorkel 4 assignment date may have been 4/21/1981; Snorkel 4 renumbered to Snorkel 5; in service with various 2-piece squads from 1987 until assigned to Squad 5 after G-484 accident; underwent refurbishment by 3D prior to late 1986?; underwent rebuilding by Blitz Body Corp. in 1990; OOS for major body work from late 1994 to early 1995, and returned to Squad 5
