The S series is a bit of an anomaly.
The original S numbers (pre-2000) were a mixture of vehicles acquired from other city departments, boat trailers, and small utility vehicles.
The current set of S numbered vehicles are typically small (electric carts, utility vehicles, Segways), though some are pedal-powered, and a few have been buses.
